Bone marrow: 250 grams
Ginger garlic paste: 1 teaspoon + ½ teaspoon
Salt: 1 ½ teaspoon
Peppercorns (sabith kali mirch): ½ teaspoon
Chopped mint leaves: 1 ½ tablespoon
Chopped coriander: 1 tablespoon
Onion: one whole measuring about 35 grams
Cinnamon sticks (small): 2
Caraway seeds (shahzeera): ½ teaspoon
Turmeric powder: 1/4th teaspoon
Black pepper powder: 1/4th teaspoon
Cooking oil: 1 tablespoon
Water: 1 litre


1. Add bonemarrow to a pressure cooker.

2. Add 1 litre of water, 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste, salt, peppercorns, chopped mint leaves, sliced onion, cinnamon sticks, caraway seeds or shahzeera and add turmeric powder to the bonemarrow.

3. Mix well, close the lid.

4. Cook on medium flame for about 20 to 30 minutes till the water is reduced to half.

5. To another pan, add cooking oil.

6. Add ½ teaspoon ginger garlic paste. Stir fry for 15 seconds.

7. Add the soup to the pan and switch off the flame.

8. Add black pepper powder and chopped coriander.

Bone marrow Soup is ready.
